Beatriz Williams’ solo exhibition “Del Patio De Mi Titi” (From My Aunt’s Backyard) serves as an avenue of connection to the artist’s birthplace. Beatriz examines Puerto Rico’s natural world, re-situating herself within the realm of its distant familiarities. The work dissolves a perceived separation between human being and Mother Earth - a reminder of the oneness of all creation.

"Femme Nouvelle" Solo Exhibition at 212Arts

212 Arts is pleased to present the debut solo exhibition of artist Beatriz Williams. Her new series entitled Femme Nouvelle, meaning “new woman”, is inspired by the Art Nouveau style of master painter Alphonse Mucha. This series features a collection of portraits evoking a modern take on Mucha’s iconic paintings resembling stained glass. Through a unique integration of vibrant colors and a bold graphic style, Beatriz’s acrylic and watercolor paintings present a diverse representation of women that explores a contemporary interpretation of the word muse.
